Rev. Dr. Seikam Touthang
Senior Pastor & Moderator
Article VIII Sec. 2
Hello, and welcome! I’m Seikam Touthang, and I am deeply humbled and blessed to serve as the Senior Pastor here at Peniel Baptist Church. My journey of faith began at a young age, shaped by the love and prayers of my family, especially my mother, who guided us through the challenges of life with unwavering trust in God.
In 1969, when I was just in third grade, my father, the primary provider for our family, passed away. Through this difficult time, my mother remained steadfast in her faith, leading us in daily prayers and helping me discover the power of God's word. It was during these moments of quiet devotion that I began to dream of serving God in ministry. I prayed that, one day, I could become a pastor, if I could finish my education.
God faithfully guided me through the ups and downs of life, and in 1979, I graduated from high school. I went on to pursue a degree in education, and by 1986, I was serving as the principal of a Junior High School. But God's call on my life was not to remain in education; in 1987, during a Missionary Conference at my home church, I felt a clear and undeniable calling to dedicate my life fully to His service. That moment marked the beginning of my journey into full-time ministry.
After graduating from theological seminary, I had the privilege of serving with the Chongthu Baptist Churches Association in Manipur, India, beginning in 1990. Through this experience, I was able to minister to the needs of many and deepen my faith in powerful ways.
Today, I am honored to be part of this church family, where I continue to share God's love, teach His Word, and encourage others to walk faithfully in their own relationship with Christ. My hope and prayer for all who come to Peniel Baptist Church is that you experience the grace, peace, and transformative power of God’s presence in your life, just as I have.
Thank you for visiting our church website. I look forward to getting to know you and serving together as we grow in faith and community.
