James Touthang

Hi, I'm James Touthang, and I’m currently serving as the Technical and Media Director here at Peniel Baptist Church. I’ve been involved in our church since its founding, and my journey with the church has been a huge part of my life. From a young age, I’ve helped with various tasks, from designing the church bulletin and maintaining the website to mixing the audio and even playing the drums with the worship team.

My early involvement with the church sparked my interest in web development, a passion I’ve nurtured since middle school when I began coding websites. Over the years, this passion grew, leading me to pursue a degree in Computer Engineering. Today, I work as a software engineer by day, but my heart is still deeply invested in serving the church through technology.

As the Technical and Media Director, I oversee the setup and troubleshooting of all things tech-related at the church. Whether it’s managing sound, lighting, or media, I’m behind the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly so that our services and events can be experienced with excellence.

The church has not only shaped my career but also my personal life. It was also at a church that I met my wife, who was one of the singers on the worship team. Together, we’ve been blessed with a beautiful son, and when I'm not serving at the church or working, you can usually find me spending quality time with my family.

I’m excited to be a part of the ongoing ministry at Peniel Baptist Church, and I look forward to seeing how God will continue to use technology and media to further His kingdom.
